Drapery Tracks

We stock many types of track extrusions and manufacture multiple carriers. Depending on the application, we use aluminum or steel, ranging from low profile to heavy duty.

Continental No. 60 Track

Track Number 60 supports greater loads than other tracks. It features a back-to-back open channel design, which disperses noise along the length of the track, creating a quiet performance. The hollow “pass-through” design of the standard carrier secures the operating line to the track while in motion. That feature also allows for the use of rear folding or “backpacking” tabs, which let the carriers stack off stage and allow the drapes to travel as a smooth panel. Other features include a unique split-wheel design of carriers and master carriers, which prevents binding of the carrier to the track during operation.

Typical uses: heavy stage drapes, adjustable walls and scenery.

Continental No. 68 Track

Number 68’s aluminum channel, block housings and carrier bodies provide a quieter operation than steel. The heat-treated aluminum alloy carrier bodies are machine-faced for precision alignment on the track raceways. The standard carrier features a hollow “pass-through” that secures the operating line to the track during operation. It also allows for the use of rear folding or “backpacking” tabs, which let the drapes travel as a smooth panel and the carriers stack off stage. The built-in rubber spacer on the single carrier eliminates noise associated with the stacking of carriers as the drapes open.

Typical uses: medium to heavy stage drapery in straight applications.

Continental No. 62 Track

This track features nylon-coated steel carrier bodies, which provide quieter operation and less friction than plain steel, while still providing high strength. Track switches are available to allow for multiple drapery configurations or drapery storage tracks. Number 62 is easily curved to radii as tight as two feet. We have ceiling or hanging clips available for mounting without using a pipe backbone.

Typical uses:

Continental No. 101 Track

Number 101’s aluminum channel, block housings and carrier bodies provide a quieter operation than steel. The heat-treated aluminum alloy carrier bodies are machine-faced for precision alignment on the track raceways. The standard carrier features a hollow “pass-through” that secures the operating line to the track during operation. It also allows for the use of rear folding or “backpacking” tabs, which let the carriers stack off stage and allow the drapes to travel as a smooth panel. The built-in rubber spacer on the single carrier eliminates noise associated with the stacking of carriers as the drapes open.

Typical uses: medium to heavy stage drapery in straight applications.
